The Brostep Post – 20 Tracks to Split Your Face

I’ve become overloaded—no wait, broverloaded—the past few months with face melting mid-range bass stompers. Out of the last 100 dubstep releases I’ve heard, at least half would have to fall under this category. Rather than creating 17,000 separate posts, I figured I’d knock out a few new and old tunes together. Don’t get me wrong—I love sound design and the heavy heavy bass—I just don’t care to hear the same track a million times over by different producers. I’ll always have room for Culprate, Liquid Stranger, Excision, Datsik and maybe the occasional genre-bender in my playlists, but until the copycats retire, I’ll have to draw the line. Bring on the next Richard D. James’, Amon Tobins and Tippers of the electronic world.

  1. I must say, this is a top notch selection. Nice one.

  2. damn. got 10 likes yesterday. seems like brostep is the way to post?

  3. also, got the most traffic in sawtooth history yesterday! As long as the visitors come, the tunes will keep rolling out.

  4. [...] was the most visited day in Sawtooth’s history, mostly due to the The Brostep Post—which was the second most viewed post in one day (just under Nosaj Thing Remixes from last year). [...]

  5. Most of this is garbage. How can you even call this dubstep?

  6. Surprised you haven’t noticed the term “dubstep” encompasses many sounds and styles. CJ was kind enough to link his name to his SoundCloud account so let’s head over there and see how his dubstep compares.
